Kings XI Punjab prolific batsman Shaun Marsh has received an official reprimand for breaching Indian Premier League (IPL) Code of Conduct during his side's five-wicket defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday.

The 32-year-old Australian batsman admitted the Level 1 offence under Article 2.1.8, which relates to abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during a match.

Meanwhile, compatriot and Kings XI team-mate Glenn Maxwell was fined for breaching the same conduct.

Maxwell also admitted the offence and accepted the sanction of a fine of 25 percent of his match fee.

For Level 1 breaches of the IPL Code of Conduct, the Match Referee's decision is final and binding.

Marsh has scored 113 in his four matches, while Maxwell struggled for form, making just 39 in five matches.
