Taking a jibe at the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Government over the ongoing controversy surrounding Jitendra Singh Tomar, former IPS officer and BJP leader Kiran Bedi on Wednesday said these days it has become a 'dirty, disturbed and desperate' Delhi.
"These days its become Dirty Delhi, Disturbed Delhi, Desperate Delhi, Distracted Delhi---Not Developing Delhi..!!" she tweeted.
Bedi had yesterday said the AAP Government might be crying foul over Tomar's arrest, but it was based on solid evidence.
"Since the matter has been in the news, they (police) must have collected appropriate evidence to make the arrest .The AAP will cry foul, but the police are not involved in politics. They are accountable for their investigation to the court," she said.
Tomar, who was yesterday sent to four-day police custody, has so far reiterated that his degree is not fake and accused the BJP-led government at the Centre of hatching a conspiracy into the entire episode.
Tomar, who yesterday resigned as Delhi's Law Minister, is accused of possessing two fake degrees: a law degree and a BSC degree.
An FIR was lodged against him on Monday under IPC Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120B for criminal conspiracy, cheating and forgery.
