Minister for State for Home Kiren Rijiju on Thursday praised External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj for convincing the execution of Kulbhushan Jadhav albeit temporarily.
"We must complement the foreign ministry by Sushma Swaraj, because, the commitment was given by it to the parliament that India will do everything to help in the Kulbhushan Jadhav's case," Rijiju told media.
Union Minister H.N. Ananth Kumar also expressed his contentment over the decision.
"The stay given by International Court at The Hague in Kulbhushan Jadhav case is a very big decision. Our only concern is Pakistan would take care about the safety and security and in continuous term would give a report to the court. We urge the Pakistan Government the safety and security and health," Kumar told media.
The ICJ earlier in the day granted a stay on execution of Kulbhushan Jadhav by Pakistan pending the final decision of the Court. It also told Pakistan to give consular access to India to meet Jadhav. This is a big diplomatic win for India.
