The Kerala Police took the organizers of the 'Kiss of Love' event into 'preventive custody' here on Sunday to maintain law and order in the state.

The 'Kiss of Love' event was a protest against moral policing in the state. It was organized on Facebook after a right-wing group vandalised a cafe in the city, stating that the coffee-shop was being used for 'immoral activities' by youngsters.

According to reports, the Bajrang Dal, the Kerala Students Union and an unnamed Muslim group protested against the 'Kiss of Love', while the Youth Congress and the Students Federation of India supported it.
