A cricket commentator in New Zealand reportedly kept his word to eat three hot chillies live on TV if New Zealand claimed a rare victory over rivals India in the first Test.

Lachlan Forsyth made the vow on his Twitter feed ahead of the first Test at Eden Park, although to his surprise, New Zealand sealed a first win over India for 12 years with a 40 run victory.

According to Metro.co.uk, the host confirmed he would gladly pay up live on TV in front of New Zealand heroes Tim Southee and Neil Wagner.

The presenter then attempted to chat to the pair while munching on his spicy snack, the report added.
