New Zealand youngster Corey Anderson will reportedly make his Indian Premier League (IPL) debut in the seventh season of the tournament after he was sold for Rs.4.5 crores to the Mumbai Indians in the post-lunch bids.
Anderson is the only New Zealand player to be auctioned post lunch, while Australian bowler Glenn Maxwell fetched million dollars again as he was bought by Kings XI Punjab for Rs.6 crores.
Australia's Nic Maddinson was sold Rs.50 lakhs to Royal Challengers Bangalore, while Moises Henriques has been sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs.1 crores and pacer Nathan Coulter-Nile got a deal of Rs.4.25 crores with Delhi Daredevils.
Meanwhile for India, Jaydev Unadkat is leading the list with Rs.2.8 crores for DD, followed by Mohit Sharma for Rs.2 crores (Chennai Super Kings), Varun Aaron also for Rs.2 crores (RCB), Ashish Nehra (Rs.2 crores; CSK), L.Balaji for Rs.1.8 crores (KXIP), Laxmi Ratan Shukla for Rs.1.5 crores (SRH), Abhishek Nayar (DD; Rs.1 crores).
Saurabh Tiwary with Rs.70 lakhs (DD) and Parwinder Awana with Rs.50 lakhs (KXIP) were on the lower rungs.
