There is no sigh of relief for American singer-rapper Kodak Black as he will still remain behind bars on weapon violation charges. He was found putting in false information to purchase firearms from a gun shop in Miami.
The singer bought a 9 mm handgun, a .380-caliber handgun, and a semiautomatic Mini Draco weapon, according to Fox News.
Earlier this month, the 21-year-old was arrested during a hip-hop festival at Miami which was marred by several violent incidents outside the venue. There were three unrelated shootings in the area with possible connections to the festival being investigated by officers currently.
The 'Testimony' singer was previously granted release on $550,000 bond which got declined later on the grounds that the type of weapons purchased was concerning.
According to Black's advocate, he needed the weapons because he faced security threats from a few gangs and rivals.
Other than this, the singer has also been booked for drug, weapons and sexual assault charges in other states.
Meanwhile, he will be held in custody in Miami till he gets a trial date most likely by the end of the summer.
