Indian batsman Virat Kohli broke Proteas star AB de Villiers' record to become the fastest batsman to reach 7000 runs in One Day Internationals.
Kohli made history during India's third ODI against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
The swashbuckling batsman has been in prime form against Australia and scored 91 and 59 in the first two ODIs.
He needed only 19 runs today to overtake AB de Villiers, who reached the landmark in 172 matches and 166 innings.
Earlier today, Australia won the toss and elected to bowl in the third ODI of the five-match series against India here at Melbourne
India made two changes in the squad and brought in debutants Rishi Dhawan and Gurkeerat Singh in place of Manish Pandey and Ravichandran Ashwin.
