Indian batting star Virat Kohli on Monday strongly condemned the appalling suicide bombing of a public park in the Pakistani city of Lahore, describing the incident as an act of 'senseless terrorism'.
"Deeply saddened to hear about the Lahore attacks. We stand in solidarity against violence and senseless terrorism #PrayForLahore #Lahore," Kohli wrote on Twitter.
At least 72 people, including women and children, were killed when the blast occurred at the entrance of Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park on Sunday evening.
Kohli expressed his views on social media after single-handedly propelling India into semifinals of the World Twenty20 following a pulsating six-wicket win over Australia in Mohali.
