Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has hailed the squad's self-belief and experience for ensuring that their Premier League title race is now back in their hands.
City, who are looking at their third English league win in two years if they win their remaining two home games, skipper Kompany said that one needs a lot of mental strength to be in a position like they are.
Kompany said that it gives one a good feeling to be at the top and at the right time too, the Mirror reported.
The Belgium International also said that when playing against Everton, they thought the their rivals do not want to play hard because Liverpool, their neighbours, are going for the title, but added that Roberto Martinez's men gave everything, making the whole game very hard.
Kompany said that City's clash against Everton became exciting again after the second goal, adding that it had been a deserved victory for his team, but it also makes their next two games obviously still very, very interesting.
Kompany, who has been struggling with calf and knee injuries this season, has insisted that he is fully fit for the crucial final week of the Premier League season.
City will become Premier League champions if they beat their final two opponents Aston Villa on Wednesday and West Ham United on Sunday at home games, the report added.
