Lady Gaga played a crucial role in the on-stage engagement of her friend Jay Lomax and his boyfriend Sean Martins during her concert recently.
The 28-year-old singer called out the English couple on to the stage in Manchester, England, where Lomax got down on one knee and proposed to Martins, TMZ.com reported.
The 'Applause' star, Lomax and his famous photographer uncle and Gaga friend Terry Richardson had planned the whole thing months ago, but Martins admits to have been completely taken by surprise.
The engagement ring has lyrics from Gaga's song 'Artpop' inscribed on it, which says "We could belong together."
Martins added that the only thing that could be better than the proposal would be Cher performing at their wedding.
