Lady Gaga spoke out in support of the LGBT community at New York's Gay Pride Parade Kick Off Rally.

The 'Bad Romance' hit maker, who made her very first public appearance following the cancellation of her 'Born This Way' tour due to her hip surgery, gave an inspiring speech to her thousands of gay fans for their backing, the New York Daily News reported.

The singing sensation said that when she was in high school and grade school and younger, she was considered to be an outcast.

Gaga, who was born with the moniker Stefani Germanotta, said that she couldn't find her place in school.

She asserted that there was a particular crowd who made room for her at their table, held her up when she was down and loved her for exactly who she was.

The 27-year-old singer praised Supreme Court ruling overturning the Defense of Marriage Act and blasted the fresh homophobia-spurred attacks in the city.
