Lady Gaga has come under fire from animal charities for dressing up her pet pooch Asia in heavy and painful jewellery, headpieces and earrings.
Animal charity PETA, has warned the 28-year-old singer that she still has a lot to learn about dog care, the Mirror reported.
Paula Boyden, Dog's Trust veterinary director said that dressing up dogs in pseudo-human clothing not only ridicules and makes a spectacle of them but treats them as a fashion accessory rather than a living animal.
The 'Bad Romance' singer posted photos on social networking site of her dressed-up dog with giant Pat Butcher-esque jewels clipped to the tiny ears; heavy duty chainmail necklace draped over its face and captioned it "Little McQueen".
