Defence expert S R Sinho on Saturday said that Islamabad's unwillingness to act against alleged Mumbai attack mastermind Zaki-ur Rehman Lakhvi showed that it did not want to cooperate with India, and added that India must be prepared to thwart any ceasefire violations from across the International Border (IB).
"Lakhvi is the mastermind of the Mumbai attack which left so many people dead. India has given evidences to Pakistan about Lakhvi's involvement but they do not want to act. He has been let off yesterday, and today, firing takes place on the International Border. Pakistan will not have any cooperation with India and they will continue to carry-out ceasefire violations," Sinho told ANI.
"We should be prepared for it. The people of Pakistan want peace, but the establishment over there wants to keep them engaged in one thing or the other with India," he added.
Indian High Commissioner T C A Raghavan met Pakistan's Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhary in Islamabad on Friday to register the Indian Government's strong concerns over the Lahore High Court's decision to release Lakhvi from Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail on grounds of non-availability of substantial evidence to keep him incarcerated.
On Thursday, the Lahore High Court struck down the detention order of Lakhvi and ordered his release.

The court, however, has directed the accused to pay 20 lakh rupees in surety bonds to the Adiala Jail authorities.
Lakhvi is among the seven people charged with planning and carrying out the November 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.
