The Congress Party, which is adamant on the resignation of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, gave an adjournment notice in the Lok Sabha today on the controversy surrounding former IPL boss Lalit Modi.

The Congress is also likely to call a meeting with the like minded parties at around 10.45 a.m. to chalk out the strategy to corner the government in the Parliament.

Parliament could not transact any business on the second day of the Monsoon Session yesterday due to uproar by the opposition over Lalit Modi controversy. Both the Houses witnessed repeated adjournments before being called off for the day.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be meeting his senior Cabinet colleagues at 10.30 a.m. in the Parliament to chalk out the BJP's strategy to restrict the opposition.
