As the grand alliance got a landslide victory in the Bihar Assembly election, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav today confirmed that Nitish Kumar will continue to be the Chief Minister.
"Nitish ji will continue as the Chief Minister, we both will together to take Bihar on path of development," Lalu told the media here.
"Bihar will move on the development path under Nitish Kumar's leadership. We both express our gratitude to the people of Bihar for giving us such a great victory," he added.
Lalu also said that he will tour the country and create a people's movement against Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA Government.
In Bihar, the grand alliance has so far won 110 seats and is leading in 64 seats. Of these, the JD (U) has bagged 40 seats, RJD 49 and Congress 21.
The NDA has bagged 36 seats out of which BJP gets 33, LJP one, RLSP one and HAM one. The NDA is leading in 25 seats while others have taken five seats and are leading in three seats respectively.
