Fresh landslides triggered by heavy rains have stalled pilgrims from undertaking their pilgrimage on the Yamunotri route.
A villager said, "What can we say when nobody is ready to hear or take any action. Nobody is ready to come here and the administration is also not doing anything."
Another disappointed villager told ANI, "Travellers are not able to come here as they get hurt. Even locals are also affected badly, a few have even lost their lives. So, I hope that the administration will take some action on it."
Several villages have been cut-off and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel have been sent to the area for rescue and relief operations.
Army soldier H K Singh said they were unable to receive groceries due to poor connectivity.
The roads have been washed away and reportedly 82 roads in Uttarakhand are blocked.
