The West Indies have again stuck to the task in their batting department and given India a respectable target of 264 to chase in the third and deciding ODI, after suffering a late collapse in their first innings.
At one point, the visitors were struggling at 196/5 before Darren Bravo (51 not out) and Darren Sammy (37 not out) struck some fierce blows to take them to 263/5 at the end of 50 overs.
India had earlier won the toss and invited the West Indies to bat first.
Earlier, Kieran Powell (70) and Marlon Samuels (71) gave the visitors some stability to be able to post a reasonable score.
For India, Ravichandran Ashwin took two wickets while Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammad Shami and Ravindra Jadeja all took a wicket each.
