Whitney Houston's mom, Cissy Houston, said that she and her family are not in favour of the upcoming biopic based on the late singer.

According to Us magazine, the 80-year-old mother claimed that Lifetime doesn't know anything about the star's relationship with Bobby Brown, and it didn't even matter to them that their family didn't want this film to happen.

She added that they were tired of the misinformation offered by people who didn't really know Houston, and begged them to just "let her daughter rest."

The film, which would be helmed by Houston's 'Waiting to Exhale' co-star Angela Bassett , will star Yaya DeCosta in lead, and will focus on the late singer's relationship with Brown, to whom she was married for 15 years and had daughter Bobbi Kristina.
