Laura Linney is set to star in the upcoming Sherlock Holmes film 'A Slight Trick Of The Mind'.
The film, which will be directed by Bill Condon, is adapted from Mitch Cullin's 2005 novel and tracks an elderly Sherlock Holmes, played by Ian McKellen, as he recollects the unsolved case that forced him into retirement to his housekeeper and her young son, Deadline.com reported.
Linney, 50, will play Mrs. Munro, the housekeeper in the film, which is scripted by Jeffrey Hatcher and produced by Anne Carey through her Archer Gray Productions.
The filming is set to begin this summer.
