Jason Jace Alexander, who is known for directing manifold episodes of 'Law and Order', was recently arrested on child pornography charges.

The 42-year-old director is facing one felony count of promoting a sexual performance by a child, as well as a felony count of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, E! Online reported.

According to the sources, Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore revealed that how an investigator from her office had downloaded the child pornography that traced back to an IP address, originated from 'Rescue Me' hit maker's home.

A press release stated that a forensic examination of computers and external hard drives revealed the digital files of children, less than sixteen years of age, engaged in child pornography.

If Alexander, who is being held on 10,000 US dollars bail, gets convicted, he could face seven years of imprisonment.

Apart from 'Law and Order' fame, the director, who was earlier elected the second vice-president of the Directors Guild of America, is also known for 'Golden Boy', 'Prison Break' and 'Blacklist'.
