A law student was allegedly gangraped and killed on Friday night on a bus in the Madhupur district of Bangladesh.
The student was going back home after an exam in the bus when five people gangraped and later killed her, The Daily Star reported.
The police have arrested five staffers of an inter-district bus on charges of killing and gangraping.
When her brother could not reach her, he filed a complaint with the police after which a team raided the Madhupur bus station early yesterday and arrested the culprits.
She gave 5,000 Bangladeshi Takas and her mobile phone to one of the accused and pleaded to be let go, the investigating officer said.
However, the accused did not pay heed to her plea and committed the crime after taking all her belongings.
The court official said that three of the accused have already confessed to the crime before the senior judicial magistrate.
