Musical comedy-drama TV series 'Glee' creator Ryan Murphy had originally planned to reunite Lea Michele and her onscreen love interest Cory Monteith in the original series finale.
The 48-year-old producer told in a eulogy at the actor's private memorial that he always knew how the story would end, but his plans were thrown into disarray following Monteith's untimely death from a drug overdose.
He said that for him, Monteith was literally both the beginning and the ending of Glee, Contactmusic reported.
Murphy was forced to rework the storyline and decided to kill off the actor's character so he could give both the tragic star and his TV persona a final farewell in an emotional memorial episode.
