Liverpool striker Luis Saurez, currently the top goal scorer in the Premiere League with 23 goals so far, has been reportedly roped in to model for the world's first knitted football boots.
The Uruguayan international striker, who has helped to keep his team on course to secure Champions League qualification for the first time since 2009, could be lining up in Adidas' latest style of football boots against England in the group stage of the World Cup this summer.
According to the Daily Star, Adidas has launched their latest collection of football boots, named the Samba primeknit, which are aimed at providing higher levels of 'comfort' and 'flexibility' according to Senior VP for Global Football at Adidas, Markus Baumann.
Baumann said that primeknit was a way to show their commitment for football and is designed to allow for a bespoke fit for each player, making their performance more intuitive and responsive.
Baumann also said that they were excited about introducing the new product into football.
