Legendary Pictures and director Paul Greengrass have teamed up to make film about Jimi Hendrix.
The studio has set Scott Silver to pen the script for the project, which will show the life of the man, whose guitar genius and crazy fashion sense turned him into one of the most iconic stars in rock history, Deadline.com reported.
Hendrix had sadly died in 1970 at 27, when his stardom was at the rise.
The film, which will feature Hendrix's best known tunes, from 'Purple Haze' to 'Foxy Lady', will be produced by Tull, Jon Jashni, Janie Hendrix, John McDermott, and Peter Afterman, while Jillian Share and Josh Bratman executive produce.
