Australia coach Darren Lehmann has said that his team's flop World Twenty20 campaign was a disappointing end to a golden season of cricket glory.

Australia has again failed to win their maiden T20 trophy, which is the only major trophy that has eluded the team after the incredible loss to West Indies, which celebrated by dancing Gangnam Style on the field after the final ball.

According to News.com.au, it might seem as a blip on the radar after the impressive season which produced a 5-0 Ashes whitewash and an away Test series win against South Africa, but Lehmann expected much more from his side, saying that he is very much disappointed at such a sad to a 'magical season'.

Stating that Australia had played good T20 cricket at home and in Australia before coming to Bangladesh, Lehmann said that they beat themselves at the World T20 even though the failure is a good learning curve for them, adding that they have only got themselves to blame for all of their losses.

Australia plays India on Monday but will be virtually going around for practice as they must not only beat India, and Bangladesh on Tuesday, but must rely on some almost impossible other results and factors to make the semifinals of the tournament, the report added.
