Lena Dunham has recently revealed that she is adapting 1994 children's novel 'Catherine, Called Birdy' for the big screen.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 28-year-old artist plans to produce the film through A Casual Romance, the production company she launched with 'Girls' executive producer Jenni Konner.
The 'Tiny Furniture' writer said she has loved the book since childhood and was excited to work on something that focuses on women through a historical viewpoint.
Dunham also joked that it might be difficult for a PG-13 coming-of-age film set in 1290 to land funding.
