Lenovo records 29% jump in full year earnings

The world's biggest computer maker Lenovo has jumped 29 percent in its full-year earnings, bagging a net profit of 817 million dollars.

According to The BBC, the company sold 55 million PCs during the year, extending its global market share to 17.7 percent, when the overall industry saw an 8 percent fall in PC sales.

In addition to PCs, Lenovo also sold nearly 50 million smartphones and around 9.2 million tablets.

Lenovo's chairman and chief executive Yuanqing Yang said that they have proved the company can grow and deliver its commitment whatever the market conditions are.
