Lenovo unveils range of tablets, convertibles, revamped ThinkPad X1 Carbon

Lenovo has reportedly unveiled host of new gadgets at the ongoing CES 2014 in Las Vegas, including a revamped ThinkPad X1 Carbon that is fabricated from carbon fiber.

The ThinkPad X1 Carbon is touted both lighter and stronger than aluminum or magnesium and is touted as the world's lightest 14-inch Ultrabook, weighing 2.8 pounds.

According to PC World, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon features Intel's fourth-generation Core processors with vPro management features, up to 8GB of memory, and up to a 512GB SSD.

The company has also rolled ThinkPad8, which is meant for business users and can be paired with optional keyboard case that turns the device into a small notebook.

 

Lenovo has also introduced Y- and Z-series consumer notebooks, priced 999 dollars onwards and are touted to have better resolution displays.

The company has also added several tablet/PC hybrids to its mobile PC roundup, including the Yoga 2 convertible, the budget-priced, AMD-powered Flex 14D and Flex 15D; and the Miix 2 detachable.

Other gadgets unveiled by the computer manufacturer include Flex 14D, which is positioned as inexpensive laptop/ tablet hybrid and the Miix 2 tablets that can be turned into a convertible laptop by pairing with optional keyboard.
