Leslie Mann may star in 'Vacation' remake

Leslie Mann, is in talks to star in the upcoming film 'Vacation,' which is a reboot of the John Hughes 1980's classic comedy starring Chevy Chase.

The New Line project, which has already confirmed Ed Helms and Christina Applegate, is trying to finish up with the casting before the filming begins in Louisiana, the Hollywood Reporter reported.

While Chris Hemsworth and Charlie Day are in negotiations for the film, which would have Chase and original star Beverly D'Angelo making appearances, 'The Other Woman' star, 42, would play the role of Audrey Griswold, who is married to Hemsworth's character, Stone Crandall.

The story shows character Rusty Griswold, as the grown-up son of Clark Griswold (Chase), who takes his family on a road trip similar to the one he had taken with his parents and sister.

 

The film was penned by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, who would also be making their directorial debut and would be produced by Chris Bender and David Dobkin while Jeff Kleeman exec produces.
