Formula One icon Lewis Hamilton took time off from ruling the racetrack to visit underprivileged and malnourished children in Haiti.

On a visit for UNICEF, the British racing star spent two days in Port-au-Prince, the country's capital after winning the Spanish Grand Prix.

According to Daily Express, Hamilton was saddened by the visit and said that it was a 'heart breaking' experience to meet the children who were devoid of nutrition and afflicted with disabilities.

He further appealed to the people to support the initiative of Soccer Aid fundraiser organized by the UK Government to provide food and medicines for these children.

The former F1 World Champion would not be present for the event as he will be in Montreal for the Canadian Grand Prix but has assured that he would be watching the program, reports revealed.
