The capital finally witnessed some rainfall on Thursday afternoon after days of soaring temperature.
There were dark clouds and light drizzles in parts of Delhi and Noida.
"At last we got some relief from power cuts and the scorching heat. I am happy and I hope that the rainfall is here to stay," said Nirtika, a resident of Noida.
"The temperature has been extremely high in Delhi for the past few days. Although, it just drizzled around here, it came as a big relief as the temperature came down a bit," said Shweta Bhatia, a resident of Green Park.
The monsoon though, is expected to reach Delhi by June 29, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
