American rapper Lil Xan has said that he was to blame for his breakup with ex-girlfriend and singer Noah Cyrus.

The rapper and Cyrus had a short-lived romance and their recent spilt shook their fans as the two had a nasty public breakup on Instagram. But weeks after their super messy breakup, Lil Xan took full responsibility for the same, reported E! Online.

Xan recently appeared on Complex's show 'Open Late with Peter Rosenberg' and while talking to the host, he said, "Honest to God, I would say like most of the reason the breakup happened was because of me."

The 22-year-old rapper also added, "It was my fault", he confessed while taking on the show, "We could have still been together, but I just feel like If--ked everything up! It also put me in a darker place because I was getting slammed left and right."

In an earlier interview with Adam Grandmaison, the rapper had called his relationship with Cyrus "toxic", however, adding that he had "nothing but love for the Cyrus family."

While talking to Adam on his podcast episode, Xan had provided his side of the story, disclosing that he felt that he took the relationship more seriously.

"There was lying on both of our sides. I would say 50-50% lying. At the end of the day, it was pretty staged when she said, 'I'm not going to let Lil Xan ruin my career,' and that kind of hurts. I felt like an accessory," he had said.

Meanwhile, Noah, in a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, had denied that their relationship was fake. She had said, "I was going through a break-up with somebody I was with for two years, and my heart's still broken over that, and then I let somebody in and got too comfortable too fast, I think, and it all blew up in my face, like break-ups do."

After the breakup, Noah has been moving on with her life. She recently also released a new song titled 'Mad at You'.
