Lily Allen has lashed out at the music business, saying there's a lack of female artists in the industry and insisted that people need to take a stand against sexism.

While speaking to The Sun, the 28-year-old singer said that she's signed to Warner Bros' and have been into many different record company buildings, but is astonished by the lack of female executives.

'The Fear' hitmaker added that one will also notice that there's always a "man behind the woman" piece for successful female artists, like Jay Z for Beyonce, Paul Epworth for Adele and Mark Ronson for her, which does not happen with men.

Clarifying her stance as a feminist, Allen insisted that people really need to take a stand against sexism within the music industry.
