Linda Ronstadt has revealed that she suspects she had been suffering from Parkinson's disease for 12 to 15 years, before she was even diagnosed.
The iconic singer, who was the first woman ever to have four platinum albums in a row, said that she was struggling to sing for so many years so she knew there was something dramatically wrong, ABC News reported.
The 'You're No Good' hit maker asserted that she had lost control of her muscles that were supposed to move in a certain way to be able to sing.
She said that, at some point, she couldn't even make the notes.
Ronstadt added that she was stunned to learn of her ailment because Parkinson's was the last thing she'd suspected, even though her grandmother had suffered from the disease.
The 67-year-old star sang in public for the last time in 2009.
