Linkedin is due to get a makeover soon with the social networking website planning to introduce a slew of features on its mobile app.
The new features aim to make the app more user-friendly and provide information that is more relevant. One such feature will enable users to sift through information on the homepage depending on the amount of time they have, reported CNET.
Tomer Cohen, head of LinkedIn's mobile product team, said that the focus will be on providing key information first.
Three years ago, only 8 percent of its users were using mobile devices to access the website but the company expects more than half of its users to start using mobile devices this year. Therefore, Linkedin has now decided to focus on developing its mobile app.
If you have not updated your Linkedin profile completely, the app will now remind you to do it. Moreover, you will also be able to see how others have found you on the website when you check the "Who's Viewed Your Profile" section on its mobile app.
The new features however, will appear on the mobile apps first and then on the website.
