Lionsgate will be developing a new project based on the renowned Homer's 'The Odyssey,' with 'The Hunger Games' team.
Francis Lawrence, who helmed 3 of the 'Hunger Games' films, will direct from a script by Peter Craig, who co-scripted the two installments of 'Mockingjay,' while Nina Jacobson, who had shepherded the franchise from the very beginning, will produce, Deadline.com reported.
The project has been put on fast track, and the production is anticipated to begin early next year, right after promotion of Mockingjay - Part 2 is done with.
Motion Picture Group co-president Erik Feig will be overseeing with exec producer Jim Miller and development director James Myers.
