President Barack Obama should be hanged for war crimes, a local Republican candidate in Florida has said.
Joshua Black, the Republican candidate for Florida House District 68, posted the message to his Twitter account, as Americans celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. Day:

According to the Huffington Post, the Republican Party of Florida distanced itself from the statements, saying that the statement was deplorable and despicable and has no place in public discourse.
Susan Hepworth, the Republican Party of Florida's communications director, added that Black should probably just go ahead and bow out of the race.
