The Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day on Thursday, while the Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 2 p.m. on the same day, on different issues, including over the dispute of the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and the closure of relief camps in Muzaffarnagar and other riot hit districts in Uttar Pradesh.
As soon as the Lok Sabha met for the day, members from various parties trooped into the Well of the House raising slogans against the creation of a new state of Telangana, the arrest of Tamil fishermen by the Sri Lankan Navy and other issues.
Speaker Meira Kumar adjourned the House amidst the din.
Similar scenes were witnessed in the Rajya Sabha, when Bahujan Samaj Party members tried to raise the issue of Muzaffarnagar riots even before Chairman and Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari took his seat.
Ansari later adjourned the House as noisy scenes continued.
