The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Monday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi's interaction with leaders and businessmen in UAE would provide fresh impetus to trade and investment relations between the two nations.

"It was a focused interaction last night and today which will provide fresh impetus to trade and investment relations between India and UAE," MEA spokesperson Vikas Swaroop told media persons here.

"We expect unveiling of a comprehensive strategic partnership between India and UAE following the talks at highest political level," he added.

Swaroop further said that Prime Minister has urged the UAE businessmen to look at India as a long term investment destination.

"The Prime Minister urged them to look at India as a long term investment destination. There was a very interesting discussion and all of them briefed the Prime Minister about their plans and what India could offer them," he said.

"The Prime Minister outlined his vision of what is happening in India, which are the sectors in which investments from UAE would have a significant edge," he added.
