Former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson has scored his first number one with his first solo single.

The 24-year-old singer's first track (with DJ Steve Aoki), which recently debuted on 'The X Factor', has soared up the charts across the world, knocking his former bandmate Zayn Malik off the top spot with his '50 Shades Darker' collaboration with Taylor Swift, reports mirror.co.uk.

As of December 11, 'Just Hold On' was #1 on iTunes in 36 countries including Lithuania, Mexico, Peru, Finland, Israel and Spain.

Meanwhile, fellow members of the British band, which is currently on a hiatus, reunited after Tomlinson's performance to give their support following the tragic death of his mother Johannah Deakin.

Niall Horan flew in from New York and was joined by Liam Payne and Harry Styles at the Wembley Arena after Tomlinson's performance on 'The X Factor' final.

This is the first time that the bandmates have been back together following their decision to take an extended break.

Reportedly, the singers were "all in Louis's dressing room together" during the "incredible emotional" night that witnessed the One Direction star flying solo for the first time after losing his mother to leukemia.
