Dutch football manager Louis van Gaal has buried the philosophy of incorporating the '4-3-3' formation in football.
The formation which was started initially by the Dutch has been put to little use in the game, transforming it consequently into 5-3-2.
According to Sydney Morning Herald, Van Gaal has broken his contract and ditched the 4-3-3 as it is the mandated formation for every Dutch national coach. So when Van Gaal started talking about a 5-3-2, there was predictable uproar.
Reports suggest that currently Van Gaal is backing himself with the security of a new job at Old Trafford, post-World Cup which effectively means he has nothing to lose in Brazil.
But concerns are being raised against his team's performance as changes in formation could cost them a crucial stage in the upcoming World Cup this year.
