Ludhiana authorities reopen ancestral home of freedom fighter Sukhdev

The ancestral home of freedom fighter Sukhdev Singh has been reopened after being closed for 15 months.

Block officer of Ludhiana (East), Gagen Deep Singh said, that a committee was formed to ensure that the ancestral house is kept open and maintained.

The ancestral home of, Sukhdev is located in Naughara Mohalla.

It was declared national property by the state government and had been locked since January 16, 2012, on the orders of the high court.

Acting on orders by the High Court (HC), Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana, Rahul Tiwari met a 3-member committee, formed by the HC to look into the maintenance of the house.

 

The committee held its first meeting on May 31.
