Lupita Nyong'o and Jared Leto win best supporting actress and actor Oscars

Lupita Nyong'o and Jared Leto have won the best actress and the best actor awards at the 86th Academy Awards.

The 31-year-old actress won the award for her portrayal of the young female slave, Patsy, in the critically acclaimed movie '12 Years a Slave' while Leto won it for his portrayal of a transgender woman in 'Dallas Buyers Club.'

The other winners at the 86th Academy Awards are:

Best Animated Feature - 'Frozen' (Chris Buck, Jennifer Lee, Peter Del Vecho)

Best Costume Design - 'The Great Gatsby' (Catherine Martin)

Best Documentary Feature - '20 Feet from Stardom'

Best Documentary Short - 'The Lady in Number 6: Music Saved My Life'

 

Best Foreign Language Film - 'The Great Beauty'

Best Makeup and Hairstyling - 'Dallas Buyers Club'

Best Animated Short Film - 'Mr. Hublot'

Best Live Action Short Film - 'Helium'

Best Sound Editing - 'Gravity' (Glenn Freemantle)

Best Sound Mixing - 'Gravity' (Skip Lievsay, Niv Adiri, Christopher Benstead, Chris Munro)
