Lupita Nyong'o has revealed that acting in '12 Years a Slave' was "an out-of-body experience".
The 30-year-old Kenyan actress, who is playing a slave named Patsey in the pre-Civil War film, said that her role in her debut film is "exciting and memorable" and "feels quite magical", People Magazine reported.
The movie, starring Brad Pitt, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Fassbender and Benedict Cumberbatch is based on the true story of Solomon Northrup, a free black man who was kidnapped and sold into slavery in Louisiana.
