Madonna claims the curb outside her New York City residence is her private driveway that leads into her private parking garage.
Madonna just Instagrammed a picture of the curb and wrote, "Yes Bishes I am Madonna and that is my driveway and if people park in front of it I can't drive in my driveway! So sorry the city doesn't like the color yellow! We will paint a nice dull grey to keep our neighbors happy! Sorry. I'm saying 3 extra Hail Mary's this Easter for this transgression," reports TMZ.com.
According to the Department of Buildings, the 57-year-old singer does indeed have the right to a clear driveway, but she doesn't have the right to paint the curb or put up no parking signs on public property.
Earlier, it was reported that the 'Devil Pray' hit-maker's neighbour was pissed with her 'Tenant Parking Only' sign-board and a yellow-painted curb in front of her place.
The neighbour looped in the Department of Transportation, who demanded Madonna to remove the fake sign in addition to the DOT re-painting the curb.
According to the Dept. of Buildings, Madonna has the right to tow people using her spot, but she can't deter them with unauthorised signs.
