Magadh Express coach catches fire, no casualties reported

An AC coach of New Delhi-Patna Magadh Express caught fire near Buxar in Bihar on Monday.

However, no casualties were reported.

East Central Railway official was quoted as saying that the driver was alerted as smoke was seen coming out from the coach around 11.40 a.m., and the train was stopped in between Gahmhar and Chausa station under Danapur division of East Central Railway.

Five bogies of the 12402 Magadh Express, including the one which caught fire were detached, and brought to Chausa station, where fire brigade personnel extinguished the flame.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
