Mid-brain activation provides training to children in the age group of five to fifteen. It also helps children to activate and use their mid-brain, which acts as a bridge between the left and right brain.
This training is done blind folded with lots of exercises and meditation. It is an ancient concept initially invented by Professor Makoto Shicida of Japan.
The MBM Malaysia is one of the leading training providers of mid-brain activation.
The training is aimed at enhancing a child's memory power, logical thinking, concentration, emotional control, absorption capabilities and to achieve balance in the functioning of the left and right brain etc.
After this training, children can recognise colours, read, write and play different games while in blindfolded position.
According to Arup Bhattacharya, Director, Mid-Brain Activation Centre, Jorhat, the institute is getting a good response from the people of Jorhat.
He said that in the initial stage, as many as 20 children have enrolled. More are expected once a permanent site for the setting up of the institute is finalised.
