A major fire erupted near the Vidhyanchal Mandir of the Mirzapur District in Uttar Pradesh.
Pandemonium prevailed in the area soon after the fire broke out due to a short circuit near the VIP Gate of the temple. At least nine shops and six motorcycles were completely damaged by fire.
Shop owners alleged that the fire tenders reached the spot very late. The loss due to the fire is said to be in lakhs of rupees.
No casualties have been reported so far. Further details are awaited.
