The Indian cricket team received flurry of wishes from the cricket fraternity after they secured a series-clinching 15-run victory in the second One-Day International (ODI) against England at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack last evening.

Yuvraj Singh (150) and Mahendra Singh Dhoni (134) put on 256 runs for the fourth wicket to help India post a mammoth 381-6 after being put into bat on Thursday. Both the veterans came together with India in trouble at 25 for three, and forged a record partnership to put their team in a winning position.

Yuvraj's innings included 21 fours and three sixes while the former Indian skipper smashed 10 fours and six sixes.

Congratulating Team India for taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series, legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar hailed Yuvraj and Dhoni for stitching a match-winning partnership.

"What an amazing partnership between a superstar and a rockstar!! We enjoyed the show :) @YUVSTRONG12 @msdhoni #INDvENG," Tendulkar tweeted.

Veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh also wished the Indian boys for their brilliant performance before calling on them to aim for series whitewash against England.

"Congrats boys @imVkohli @msdhoni @YUVSTRONG12 gr8 partnership. @BCCI 2-0Make it 3-0 well played @Eoin16 too," he wrote on Twitter.

Posting a picture of Yuvraj undergoing treatment of cancer in hospital, former opener Virender Sehwag said, "This man has defeated Cancer. Today, he only defeated the English bowlers. Everyone can learn not to give up. Proud of @YUVSTRONG12 #INDvENG."

Former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman also congratulated Team India for winning the series with one game to spare, while praising England skipper Eoin Morgan for his splendid knock.

"What a match. Even 381 is not looking enough. Congrats Team India on winning the match & series Spare a thought for @Eoin16 Brilliant knock," Laxman said.

"Victory streak #TeamIndia !!! 747 runs, 3 centuries & much more to come! #CuttackODI @BCCI @Paytm #INDvENG series. Absolutely Delighted :-)," former BCCI president Anurag Thakur wrote.

The Virat Kohli-led side restricted England to 366-8, despite a breathtaking century by skipper Eoin Morgan, who smashed 102 off 81 balls.

During the course of the innings, Dhoni became the fifth player to hit 200 sixes in ODIs and his 196 sixes is the most for India eclipsing 195 by Sachin Tendulkar.

On the other hand, Yuvraj, with 1478 runs in 35 innings, eclipsed Tendulkar's record run tally in ODIs against England, who scored 1455 runs in 37 innings.
